Milan’s game against Genoa this week needs to be a winning game. They cannot afford any more points dropped and several members of the fanbase seems to think that the season is already over, even if their fate is still in their hands…

De Rossi adds drama

As Tuttosport (via MilanPress) writes, in recent seasons, Genoa vs. the Rossoneri has become a game with a bit of heat, due to a few officiating decisions. So, the Grifone’s manager is keen to get three points to earn some bragging rights in the game, so to speak.

The bigger reason, though, concerns De Rossi’s allegiance to Roma. Indeed, the Giallorossi are engaged in a Champions League race with the Diavolo. So, if De Rossi were to cause a stumble in their competitor’s race, then the Giallorossi would be very grateful to their former midfielder.

His heart is still in Rome and so he believes a win this weekend would ‘kill two birds with one stone’. It is a dangerous prospect for a Milan side who cannot afford any more slip-ups.
