Gianluca Di Marzio confirmed last night that Milan are on the trail of Guirassy, who has been a revelation for Stuttgart this season given that he has 16 Bundesliga goals which is second only to Harry Kane.
The contacts between the Rossoneri and the player’s entourage are alive and, on Milan’s part, there is the will and determination to carry out the operation by paying the €17m release clause which is currently present in his contract.
However, what remains to be found is an agreement with the player, both from an economic point of view because Guirassy already has a high salary at Stuttgart, and to obtain his approval to make the move in January.
Next summer, Guirassy could receive many offers and Milan would like to bring the signing forward. To do so, however, a significant economic effort will be necessary, also in terms of wages.
It is no mystery that Milan are looking for a new starting striker from next season, and although Guirassy has not really had a season like this before, the management seem convinced by his profile.
