Di Marzio: Sassuolo discuss replacements for star man with Milan expected to accelerate

Sassuolo have already begun internal discussions about who might be the best replacement for Davide Frattesi who they are gearing up to sell, a report claims.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the Sassuolo management met for lunch today discuss the strategies ahead of the summer window. Giovanni Carnevali, Giovanni Rossi and head coach Alessio Dionisi were present.

Among the many situations discussed was the one related to Frattesi, who Milan are now accelerating strongly to try and sign. There are many teams interested in him, including Juventus and Inter.

However, following the now imminent sale of Sandro Tonali to Newcastle, the Rossoneri could beat the competition because they would have the financial resources to be able to get close to the asking price.

The meeting Sassuolo had also discussed who could be the right profiles to replace the Italian international in the event that he were sold, perhaps preparing for it to happen soon.
