From England: Milan ready to explore €17m deal as Solskjaer is happy to sell Man Utd defender

AC Milan are exploring a deal to sign Diogo Dalot on a permanent basis from Manchester United with a figure in mind, a report claims.

Dalot arrived from United on a season-long dry loan and his performances in 2020-21 have fluctuated, though his versatility is something that Stefano Pioli has called upon and it has led to suggestions that the Rossoneri could explore a permanent deal.

As reported by British newspaper The Sun (via MilanNews), Dalot could remain with Milan beyond June as Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara will seek an agreement in the summer for the permanent transfer of the 22-year-old class for about €17m (£15m).

Dalot does not seem to be in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s plans for next season, given that Luke Shaw and Aaron Wan-Bissaka are currently the starting full-backs with Alex Telles and Brandon Williams as their respective deputies. Milan, therefore, will negotiate with Manchester United as soon as the player returns to England in the summer.
