MilanNews report that it’s been a busy day at Milanello today, with the team having once again opted to go for a training retreat over the weekend before Sunday night’s match, having been in a ritiro last week too.

Modric present and awards distributed

Luka Modric, barring any surprises, is expected to start. The Croatian trained again today wearing a protective mask and has the all-clear to play, with Massimiliano Allegri likely to entrust him in the regista role once again.

Modric was actually available in Genoa, as Allegri confirmed: “The good news is that he’s available. He tried the mask today and trained with the team. He will be joining us tomorrow. Ricci sprained his ankle this morning. The others are fine.”

Amidst the current relative calm and serenity, CEO Giorgio Furlani was able to reward Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Fikayo Tomori and Massimiliano Allegri for reaching 100, 150 and 200 games for the club (as a manager, for Allegri). Sporting Director Igli Tare was also present.

Everyone is focused and united with the aim of getting to Sunday in the best possible condition and sealing the Champions League objective. All future assessments will be made from Monday onward, now only the pitch matters.
