According to today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below), the Milan bosses are at work to try and strengthen the attacking department, in particular the centre-forward and right wing roles to try and compliment Rafael Leao.
Pioli dreams of a high-speed trident made up of Leao, Marcus Thuram and Samuel Chukwueze as per the paper. The Rossoneri are pressing hard and are awaiting a response from the Frenchman striker, who is leaving Borussia Mönchengladbach, but there is competition from PSG.
Meanwhile, the Nigeria international from Villarreal is the first target for the right wing though the asking price is currently €25m, but he does have a contract which expires in June 2024 and that does weaken that LaLiga side’s negotiating position a bit.
