GdS: Milan’s attack in need of repair – €40m striker tops wish list

AC Milan want to sign a striker during the January transfer window and the number one choice for the moment remains Jonathan David, a report claims.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) report this morning how January is often called the ‘repair window’ and Milan have a squad that needs to be repaired. The first is the classic one, fixing something that is broken: in this case the Milan defence, which has only Fikayo Tomori as a fit senior centre-back option.

The second is in the sense of remedying the mistakes made, i.e. not having signed a suitable deputy to Olivier Giroud in the summer. For this reason, if Milan’s pursuit of a defender in January is mandatory, that on an attacker is not as certain but is very probable.

The main target for the attack remains Jonathan David, Lille’s Canadian striker . The initial valuation of the player was around €60m but a not too excellent performance in this first part of the season and above all the expiry of the contract set for 2025 will certainly bring the price down.

At the moment the requested amount would be around €40m, a price that is still very high but if the price were to drop further, the Rossoneri would enter the scene. David is seen as a perfect profile because he young but already with experience behind him.
