GdS: Milan confident of securing return of Man Utd defender – player pushing for the move

Diogo Dalot has made it clear to Manchester United that he wants to return to AC Milan for next season at least, according to a report.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), United are satisfied with the player’s growth and would like to keep him to test him in the Premier League, but it seems that Dalot himself is pressing to return to Italy.

Dalot’s choice is a choice of heart but also of the head, because he knows that with the Qatar World Cup coming next year he must play continuously, and he has no intention of having another season in Manchester on the bench.

At Milan, on the other hand, he would find space and a coach in Stefano Pioli who appreciates him a lot. He gave him a lot of playing time last season and that is a big factor in why he wants to return.

This time Milan would like to strike a different agreement compared to that of a year ago: a loan with option to buy. The dialogue with Manchester is continuing and the will of the player – who is pressing the Red Devils to let him leave – could make the difference. The Rossoneri are confident they can get the deal done.
