GdS: Milan player ratings from win over Cagliari – Castillejo the stand out; young trio praised

Samu Castillejo was the best player on the field in Saturday night’s season-ending 3-0 win against Cagliari, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

It was an own goal from Ragnar Klavan that started the scoring after some fantastic individual work from Rafael Leao. Zlatan Ibrahimovic doubled the advantage with a thunderbolt into the top corner, and moments later Samu Castillejo fired past Alessio Cragno to complete the rout.

The Rossoneri could have had more in truth, as Ibrahimovic missed a penalty and an easy chance at the back post, but in the end it was a job well done for a side who have won nine out of 12 games since Serie A resumed.

La Gazzetta (via MilanNews) gave a 7 to Castillejo, who first teed up Ibra for the second goal before netting with a composed finish of his own to make it 3-0.

Leao, Calabria and Gabbia all scored 7 and looked very good, while Donnarumma, Kjaer, Theo Hernandez, Bennacer, Kessié and Ibrahimovic all got 6.5 and the rest received a 6.
