This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) writes that Juve seems to have definitively overtaken the Rossoneri in the race for the Brazilian and so the Milan management – on the search for a young striker to join two experienced players in Ibrahimovic and Giroud – have changed their target.
Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are now pursuing Randal Kolo Muani of FC Nantes and the French Olympic Team. The 22-year-old is admired by Milan for his physicality, his instinct as a centre-forward and also for his flexibility since he can be used not only as a striker, but also as a winger on the right having played their regularly two seasons ago when he was on loan at Boulogne.
His excellent performances have attracted the attention of several clubs besides Milan, such as Southampton, as he has 9 goals and 8 assists in 43 Ligue 1 appearances overall. His valuation is now around €10m, but that could be lowered as Kolo Muani has one year left on his contract with Nantes and for now the renewal has not arrived.
Milan are watching him carefully, but before making a new purchase they will have to make cash with some sales, such as Jens Petter Hauge or Rafael Leao.
