According to this morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), the Rossoneri will do everything to buy the defender outright and Tomori, for his part, is happy in Milan and would be happy to stay.

The option to buy is set at €28m and Milan will try to obtain a discount, but there is still the €15m left in the kitty that had been allocated in January to reinforce the defence. Therefore, there is already a treasure ready to be spent but an extra €13m must be found and qualifying for the Champions League could provide the necessary resources could arrive for this and other investments.

Tomori has climbed the rankings to the satisfaction of the fans, but also the internal hierarchies, becoming a strong point of Pioli’s team. The Englishman forms a perfect pairing with the experienced Kjaer, who seems to be rejuvenated – and Milan aim to keep them together.
