GdS: Probable XIs for Milan vs. Frosinone – Pioli settles on emergency defence

AC Milan take on Frosinone at San Siro tonight in desperate need of three points to try and turn a corner after what has been a very difficult period.

According to this morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (as seen below), there will be changes in each department compared to the Borussia Dortmund game and most are forced due to injury or suspension.

Mike Maignan will be in goal with Davide Calabria and Theo Hernandez the full-backs, while Jan-Carlo Simic should get his first ever Serie A start alongside Fikayo Tomori by virtue of the fact there are no other fit central defenders in the senior squad.

In midfield, Yunus Musah should return after being suspended in the UCL game in midweek, with Tijjani Reijnders tipped to play in the middle of a three that Ruben Loftus-Cheek completes.

Up front, Olivier Giroud will serve the second game of his two-game league ban so Luka Jovic will be the centre-forward with Christian Pulisic and Samuel Chukwueze either side.

Probable Milan XI (4-3-3): Maignan; Calabria, Simic, Tomori, Hernandez; Musah, Reijnders, Loftus-Cheek; Chukwueze, Jovic, Pulisic.

Probable Frosinone XI (4-2-3-1): Turati; Monterisi, Okoli, Romagnoli, Oyono; Garritano, Barrenchechea; Soule, Reiner, Ibrahimovic; Cheddira.
