GdS: Romero will challenge Chukwueze for starting place against Atalanta

There is a chance that Stefano Pioli will opt to use Luka Romero on the right wing for the match against Atalanta rather than Samuel Chukwueze, a report claims.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Pioli is without Rafael Leao on the left wing which means that he is likely to push Christian Pulisic into that position.

By doing that, there is a vacancy on the right side of the attack and Chukwueze would be the form favourite to take that role.

With Romero not being registered to play in the Champions League, he needs minutes in Serie A, but so far he has only played 85 minutes this season, split across four games.

It seems unlikely at this stage that Romero does get the nod ahead of Chukwueze but Pioli is reportedly exploring the possibility. The Argentine could appear from the bench on Saturday evening against La Dea.
