Caicedo has had quite the rise to fame as he only made his first-team debut for Independiente del Valle in October 2019, but now the 19-year-old has made 30 appearances for his club, scoring six goals and amassing two assists.

He registered a goal and an assist against Flamengo in the Copa Libertadores – the South American equivalent of the Champions League – to really open the eyes of some top teams.

His record for Ecuador is impressive too as he netted in a 4-2 win against Uruguay, registered two assists in a 3-2 win over Bolivia and got another assist as Ecuador beat Colombia 6-1.

According to journalist Marco Lopez Castillo on Twitter, Milan and RB Leipzig have joined the list of clubs who are interested in Caicedo, which includes Deportivo Alaves, West Ham United and Ajax.

However, he adds that the only club that is going to have a meeting with the player’s entourage is Manchester United.
