There has been plenty of talk in recent days about Krösche and when he would arrive at Milan. In fact, it seemed that the deal was done with an agreement in place between Frankfurt’s ‘Football CEO’ and the Rossoneri.

However, the clubs had to agree on a release clause and it appears that they may no longer have to do that…

Krösche rejects Milan

According to Sky Germany, via MilanNews, the potential Head of Football has now rejected the Diavolo in what would be a major turn in events, considering how close a deal seemed to be to being done. Indeed, this is what is being reported by Florian Plettenberg in recent minutes.

“Markus Krösche will remain at Eintracht Frankfurt. No immediate transfer to AC Milan. There have been contacts and concrete interest, but Krösche has rejected Milan.

“The news, according to which Krösche had already given his approval or that agreements had been reached with Milan, had always been far from reality”.

This would be a major blow for Milan due to how likely it seemed a deal would be completed. It remains to be seen what the reason for the breakdown is, if there has been one.
