CM: Maldini a big admirer of Zaniolo but negotiation will be difficult for two reasons

AC Milan are interested in signing Nicolo Zaniolo from Roma but it would not be an easy pursuit if they went for him in the summer, a report claims.

Sky (via MilanNews) reported last night that the future of Zaniolo remains up in the air because Roma have not ruled out the idea of selling the 22-year-old, with Juventus and Milan are expected to send signals of interest to the player and his entourage, while Spurs boss Antonio Conte also likes him.

According to Calciomercato.com, Milan are indeed closely monitoring the situation of Zaniolo because Paolo Maldini has liked the player for some time, but it will not be easy to sign him both for the potential cost of the operation with Roma and because of the salary the forward may demand.

Zaniolo has 2 league goals in 19 appearances so far in the current league campaign, and is trying to reach his best form again after recovering from a second cruciate ligament injury.
