Mediaset: Milan, Juventus and Inter all battling for Genoa forward

AC Milan have held an interest in Albert Gudmundsson for some time now. However, reports suggest that Juventus and Inter are also interested in the Icelandic forward, which may push the Rossoneri to act sooner than they may have planned to.

There are historical ties that link Gudmundsson to Milan. His great-grandfather, whom he shares a name with, once played for Milan, and in a previous interview, he admitted the desire to emulate his career.

“My great-grandfather played at a high level, and of course, I would like to reach those heights. Ever since I was a child I dreamed of playing in a ‘top’ team to fight for titles and win the Champions League.”

However, the striker might not emulate that dream with the Rossoneri. SportMediaset (via MilanNews) reports that alongside the Diavolo, Juventus and Inter admire his qualities.

Genoa’s valuation of €20million is set to deter any possibility of a move in January, and given he has eight goals in 18 appearances, it is understandable why the Grifone are unwilling to part with him just yet.
