Mediaset: Pioli expected to make several changes to XI for Red Star clash – the probable XI

AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli is expected to make a number of change against Red Star Belgrade in the Europa League in view of the derby, a report claims.

The Rossoneri face the trip to Spezia this Saturday but there are four very important games in the immediate aftermath, namely a two-legged Europa League Round of 32 tie against Red Star Belgrade which is either side of the return derby against Inter, which proceeds a trip to Roma.

According to SportMediaset (via MN24) Pioli – in view of next week’s derby – should deploy a large rotation against Red Star. We could see Mario Mandzukic starting from the first minute, with Diogo Dalot and Pierre Kalulu as the left and right-backs respectively, and Ciprian Tatarusanu in goal.

In midfield Soualiho Meité should enter in place of Ismael Bennacer, with Samu Castillejo on the right wing and Rafael Leao in place of Ante Rebic on the left wing. Franck Kessie, Hakan Calhanoglu and Alessio Romagnoli would remain from the ‘usual’ XI.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Tatarusanu; Kalulu, Tomori, Romagnoli, Dalot; Kessie, Meité; Castillejo, Calhanoglu, Leao; Mandzukic.
