CorSport: Milan ask about Bologna star through entourage but are met with a wall

AC Milan have spoken to Bologna defender Arthur Theate through his entourage to gauge the possibility of a summer move, a report claims.

According to Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews), the Milan management have had to change targets after missing out on Sven Botman who will soon be announced as a Newcastle United player, and they have set their sights on Theate.

Milan talked to the Belgium international and his entourage to try and see if they can bring him to the Rossoneri, but Bologna have decided to make a wall. Neither their new sporting director Sartori nor head coach Sinisa Mihajlovic want him to go as they consider him to be at the centre of their project.

The player also seems willing to stay with the aim of playing for a spot in the Belgium squad for the World Cup in Qatar. The Rossoblu have already said no to offers from the Premier League and other leagues, but the paper does add that the market is long and surprises cannot be excluded.
