AC Milan are continuing to look abroad for options to reinforce their attack and they are targeting a winger from Spurs and a striker from Reims, a report claims.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan are following Steven Bergwijn and Hugo Ekitike as potential options to come in ahead of 2022-23 and raise the quality of the attack for the future. The former is a winger who plays for Tottenham and was bought by Mourinho in January 2020, while the latter has 9 goals in Ligue 1 this season with Reims at just 19 years of age.
Bergwijn is described as the ‘King of dribbling’ and he made the move from PSV to Spurs in 2020, scoring on his Premier League debut against Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City having only arrived in London four days earlier. However, this season he has scored 3 goals in 18 games and is struggling for playing time.
Bergwijn cost €30m and has a contract until 2025 but he is not deemed unsellable by Spurs, who are willing to sell him for a figure in the region of €20-25m, so Milan are thinking about the opportunity.
Ekitike meanwhile is inspired by Mbappè and has a past as a winger, but it is thanks to a loan spell at Vejle Boldklub that he is now ready for Reims and for Ligue 1. He is right-footed, has 4 assists in addition to his goals and is 190cm tall, with the teenager having said no to Newcastle, waiting until the summer instead to join a serious project.
