MN: Milan turn to €25m alternative as Newcastle push hard for Botman – the latest

AC Milan’s pursuit of Sven Botman appears to have stalled which has forced the management to look into an alternative, according to a report.

MilanNews confirms that Newcastle United have returned to the Botman race and they are pushing strongly even though the Dutchman would like to move to Milan, so the Rossoneri management are starting to move towards an alternative option.

The first name on the list of alternatives is Gleison Bremer of Torino, a centre-back who was followed with interest during the last season. He could leave for €25m as the Granata president Urbano Cairo does not want to cause a scene but wants to cash in on his sale.

Bremer has also had several contacts with Inter but has given his approval to Milan just as he would not mind an adventure in the Premier League, where Antonio Conte’s Tottenham are also lurking.

As a final hypothesis, it must be noted that there is a chance Milan do not sign a top defender, therefore definitively promoting Pierre Kalulu to the role of full-time start (with a renewal) and thus turning to a back-up, freeing budget for other areas.
