AC Milan may try their hand at bringing Rodrigo De Paul back to Italy given his struggles with Atletico Madrid, according to a report.
De Paul was heavily linked with a move to Milan over the summer but ended up being beaten to the deal by Atletico, yet things have not exactly gone to plan for the former Udinese man. MilanLive recall how he has played 32 games for Atletico Madrid including 23 in LaLiga, six in the Champions League, two in the Copa del Rey and one in the Super Cup.
That is over 2000 minutes of action for the Argentine since his €35m move, with a return as follows: one goal against Porto, and two assists against Elche and Levante. It has been a complicated season for De Paul who managed 9 goals and 11 assists last campaign, in a worse side.
Milan meanwhile have not yet replaced Hakan Calhanoglu while Brahim Diaz is struggling for form, and we know that De Paul is a player that the Rossoneri management like, so if the right conditions were there then they may attempt to bring him back to Italy.
Atletico Madrid have shown that they are willing to appease players in moments of difficulty as seen in Alvaro Morata returning to Juventus, but it is clear that above all there must be a willingness on the part of De Paul himself to move.
