CM: Grillitsch and Onana on list of ‘a dozen names’ Milan have as Sanches alternatives

Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are taking a bit of time to evaluate a list of names that are alternative targets for the midfield department, a report claims.

Calciomercato.com report that after missing out on Renato Sanches – who is heading for Paris Saint-Germain – Maldini and Massara want to take a couple of days to better evaluate the type of profile on which to focus, with a ‘list that contains a dozen names’ being consulted.

Pape Matar Sarr could be a solution, as the 19-year-old spent last season on loan at FC Metz from Spurs who completed his signing in the summer of 2021. Milan have been following him for some time, even before Spurs bought him, and see big potential in him.

There was some contact between Massara and Fabio Paratici but the right formula must be found. Daniele Longo adds that Jean Onana of Bordeaux and Florian Grillitsch – who is a free agent after leaving Hoffenheim – are also present on the list.
