CM.it: Maldini to watch Eintracht Frankfurt duo closely during game against Napoli

AC Milan director Paolo Maldini will watch the Champions League meeting between Eintracht Frankfurt and Napoli with interest, and two players in particular.

The Milan management are now looking ahead to the summer window after a quiet January mercato which ended up generating plenty of scrutiny given that the team struggled massively to find any kind of form at the beginning of 2023.

Calciomercato.it report that there are two players who will face Napoli that have caught Maldini’s eye, and the first is Daichi Kamada. The 26-year-old has a contract which expires at the end of the season and he can be used as a box-to-box midfielder, a playmaker or a left winger.

Given that he would be available on a free transfer, Kamada represents good value and that is why Juventus are also keen. The Japan international has 13 goals and 5 assists across 29 appearances for the Bundesliga side across all competitions this season.

The other player that the Milan director admires is Jesper Lindstrom, a 22-year-old who can play virtually anywhere across the attacking trident. However, he would have an asking price given he is under contract with Eintracht until 2026.

There is competition from the Premier League given that that the Dane has 7 goals and 4 assists in 20 Bundesliga matches in 2022-23 thus far, so a big offer will be needed to sign him, but Milan are studying the operation.
