MN: Milan believe Monaco midfielder to be a perfect fit for their project – the reasons

A new name has emerged on AC Milan’s wish list and it is teenage Monaco midfielder Mamadou Coulibaly, according to a report.

MilanNews write how Coulibaly would fit perfectly into the Rossoneri’s project which is built around good scouting to identify young talents and develop them into future start. Milan want to close a deal for him on what would be a free transfer given his deal expires in the summer.

It was July 2019 when he entered the youth sector of Monaco, showing off for his great technical skills as well as tactical awareness. He is left-footed and is able to play the role of holding midfielder and as a box-to-box player, meaning he would fit not only into a 4-2-3-1 but also in a 4-3-3.

A debut in Ligue 1 with the Monegasques has not yet arrived, but he has already drawn comparisons to Camavinga of Real Madrid. Milan immediately got to work to test the ground and try to sign what appears to be one of the best French prospects in circulation.

It would certainly be another Pierre Kalulu style operation, but Milan must beware that they face competition from Manchester City, Tottenham and Juventus.
