Di Marzio: Milan offered midfielder by Spurs but prefer his 19-year-old team-mate

AC Milan have been offered the chance to sign Spurs midfielder Tanguy Ndombele but they appear to prefer his team-mate, a report claims.

Gianluca Di Marzio wrote in a column for Corriere della Sera that the Rossoneri have been offered Ndombele by Tottenham given that he has struggled since joining them in a big money money. Not only that, but it happened very recently as Spurs called after Renato Sanches’ move to Paris Saint-Germain was virtually confirmed, which was last night.

However, Milan find Ndombele’s wage demands too high for the moment and that is why they cannot pursue a move more concretely. An operation they do think they can complete though is one for Pape Matar Sarr.

Spurs have not received a bid for Sarr yet – who spent last season on loan at Metz – but Milan want an initial loan deal for the 19-year-old with the option to make it a permanent deal next summer, while Tottenham only want a dry loan.
