Di Marzio: Milan have two negotiations open in pursuit of midfielder – the situation

AC Milan have not yet presented an offer to Bordeaux yet for Jean Onana and are keeping an alternative option alive, according to a report.

According to what Gianluca Di Marzio has told Sky (via MilanNews), Wednesday was an interlocutory day between Milan and Bordeaux in the talks over Onana in which there was not a great deal of progress made.

The Rossoneri tried for a loan with option to buy deal but the Ligue 2 club declined that formula, so Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are now considering whether to present an offer to purchase the 22-year-old outright.

Furthermore, the management are also keeping the negotiations alive over Aster Vranckx of Wolfsburg just in case they do not manage to get Onana. The 19-year-old Belgian is expected to leave the Bundesliga side and could become an opportunity late in the market, given the transfer window shuts one week from today.
