Over the last few days, the rumours regarding potential replacement for Theo Hernandez have ramped up given his imminent move to Al-Hilal. There is also seemingly the desire to sign a left-back for the future, and Ahanor fits that mould perfectly.

For a few days now, there have been reports stating that Ahanor has also ended up on the wish list of Igli Tare and the management. He made his first team breakthrough last season under Patrick Vieira, and at the age of just 17.
According to Tuttosport (via MilanNews), his agent Beppe Riso met with the Rossoneri directors at Casa Milan yesterday and there has been progress in the discussions between Milan and Genoa for the teenager.
Last season he nine made appearances, scoring one goal and adding one assist for the senior side. He would be a back-up to a more experienced starting left-back, with Oleksandr Zinchenko of Arsenal and Maxim De Cuyper of Club Brugge mentioned.
During a live video on YouTube, Fabrizio Romano spoke about the interest of Milan and Atalanta in Ahanor, and his comments were relayed by MilanNews.
“There has been a lot of talk about Ahanor about Milan, it’s true that Milan has been interested for days, but it seems to us that Atalanta has made significant progress in these hours. Atalanta is trying to overtake all its competitors,” he said.
