AC Milan need to appoint a manager in the near future, just so they can begin planning for the summer. However, there is no major rush.

It would, of course, be better if Milan had a manager through the door now. The fact that they haven’t, though, is not a concern. If anything, it shows the level of attention being put into this hire and this is a must.

After all, RedBird have seen four managers in three seasons. So, for financial reasons, if nothing else, the next one must be right for the short and long-term.

No rush for Milan’s manager

In his latest Substack article, Felice Raimondo explained the deadlines for paperwork to ease nerves about the deadlines.

“That said, while there has been some fake news floating around regarding this, Milan don’t have to get a head coach and a sporting director in place by July 16 to register for the 2026-27 Serie A season.

“Paolo Scaroni can sign the necessary documents in the meantime, while the actual deadlines are August 7 for the head coach and September 15 for the sporting director, as confirmed by Felice Raimondo.

Maybe it furthers the worries for you, given that there is no real rush for the club to make appointments. Nevertheless, they have plenty of time and the need to get decisions right is the most important thing.
