CorSport: Milan back in for Real Madrid forward but face Arsenal and salary obstacles

AC Milan are interested in signing Marco Asensio to bolster their attacking department ahead of the summer but they face an obstacle, a report claims.

This morning’s edition of Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews) mentions Asensio’s name in relation to being a Milan target once again, just as he has been linked during the last couple of transfer windows.

The Spanish forward has a contract which is set to expire in July and it does not seem that he will renew with Real Madrid, thus leaving him free to agree terms with a club abroad ahead of what would be a free transfer.

Paolo Maldini is following the 27-year-old with interest once again because he is a player he has long sought and feels this could be the right opportunity.

However, he wants €5m net per season and there would be commissions to pay to agent Jorge Mendes, while Arsenal are also interested in signing the three-time Champions League winner.
