AC Milan are still monitoring the situation surrounding Real Madrid playmaker Marco Asensio and could launch an attempt in the coming months, a report claims.

According to a report from Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews) this morning, Asensio was already wanted by Milan in the most recent summer transfer window, and it seems that he never left the radar of the management.
He presents a real opportunity for Milan to bolster the quality of their attack without paying an extortionate transfer fee as Asensio’s deal with Los Blancos will expire at the end of the current season.
There have been reports from Spain suggesting Real want to keep him but the Spanish international does not seem close to agreement to extend. Therefore, his agent – Jorge Mendes who Milan know well – will begin talks with the various clubs interested in a free transfer and the Diavolo are among them.
