GdS: Milan agree €10m Renato Sanches deal but Mendes plays a game involving PSG

AC Milan still feel that they can sign Renato Sanches and have even agreed a deal with Lille, according to a report.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), Milan are pushing ahead with their attempts to sign Sanches despite the rumours of interest from PSG. The Rossoneri have been chasing the Portuguese midfielder for several months now and even reached an agreement in April.

Now, the task is to find the agreement with his agent Jorge Mendes as soon as possible because a €10m transfer fee has already been agreed with Lille, which is a step forward. The Ligue 1 side cannot procrastinate too much because Sanches’ deal runs out in 2023 and he has already made it known that it does not want to renew.

The former Benfica and Bayern Munich man faces a crossroads: either a move to PSG where his salary demands are met and where would he reunite with Galtier and Luis Campos, or a lower salary at Milan with a bigger role in the squad and a quicker possibility of closing given the fee already agreed.

Milan had found an agreement on the basis of €3m net per season back in April but PSG’s interest raised those demands and triggered a salary auction of sorts.
