Tuttosport: Milan preparing for Romagnoli’s exit – two young defenders lined up to replace him

AC Milan are preparing for the eventuality that Alessio Romagnoli leaves the club on a free transfer with two targets to replace him, a report claims.

This morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews) reports that the Milan management are not just looking at signing Sven Botman from Lille to reinforce the centre-back department but they are also looking for another player in that position in the event that Romagnoli were to decide to leave.

The Rossoneri are continuing to monitor the profiles followed in recent weeks and they seem more inclined to go for a younger name with high potential, just as they were linked with towards the end of the January window.

In that respect, the 19-year-old Maxime Esteve of Montpellier is one of the names on the list of Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara, while the other mentioned is the 20-year-old Malick Thiaw from Schalke.
