Parma extended the contract of Pellegrino three weeks ago, but this hasn’t stopped the speculation above his future. Sometimes clubs agree renewals to increase leverage when clubs come knocking, as seen with the Samuele Ricci situation at Torino.

The latest from TMW on Pellegrino’s future is that Pellegrino has ended up in the sights of several Italian clubs with his performances in recent months, most notably Milan. The renewal certainly helps Parma when it comes to getting the fee they feel they should for the Argentine, if he is sold.

Having joined the Ducali in January 2025, Pellegrino quickly integrated into the team, scoring 12 goals in 39 appearances in all competitions to date. He has seven goals in Serie A in the current campaign, including one against the Rossoneri in the reverse fixture earlier in the season.

The statement on Parma’s website reads: “The extension of the agreement confirms the Club and the Argentine striker’s desire to continue working together with the goal of consolidating and growing the sporting project in the coming years.

“Since arriving at Parma, Mateo has demonstrated constant growth, becoming a key asset to the Gialloblu’s attacking line.” Whether this stands as proof he is not going anywhere remains to be seen, especially if Pellegrino impresses Milan first-hand again tonight.
