Tuttosport: Milan offered chance to sign €65m Spurs flop – why they said no

AC Milan have been offered the chance to sign Tanguy Ndombelé from Spurs but have chosen not to pursue a deal, a report claims.

It is no secret that Milan are in the market for a new central midfielder given that they lost Franck Kessie on a free transfer, and Tuttosport (via MilanNews) reports that the Rossoneri have been forced to change targets because Renato Sanches is heading for Paris Saint-Germain.

The paper adds that Ndombelé from Tottenham has been proposed to the Rossoneri, but things have not gone any further because the Frenchman’s salary is too high and it would breach the internal limits set.

Ndombele signed for Spurs in a big money £55m (€65m) deal from Lyon on big wages and on a six-year deal (via The Athletic), but things just have not really worked out for the Frenchman who is yet to find favour under any head coach.
