Some interesting news has emerged from Germany as Schalke defender Malick Thiaw will not play in their friendly today, according to a report.

Journalist Andreas Ernst is reporting on Twitter that while Thiaw is is Cologne at the moment he will not play for Schalke today in their international break friendly due to a ‘slight bruise’. It obviously fuels the rumours that Milan are progressing in talks over the 20-year-old centre-back, who seems to have become a major January target.
