Yesterday’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport broke the news that Lee Congerton is the man in pole to take over the vacant role at Milan, and that things are moving towards completion after no reports prior to today. However, there has been a new development from a different source.
Tare to Milan back on?
According to Corriere dello Sport, however, in the last few hours there have been signs of the Tare idea being rekindled. With no European football in 2025-26, there is a lot of work for the new director to do and that is why starting straight away – like the Albanian can – could be criticla.
While waiting to choose the new coach, there will be some issues to evaluate regarding the prized pieces of the squad. Without Europe, some of the big names could legitimately prefer to continue their career elsewhere, just as the Rossoneri could think of selling to fill the gap in their accounts.
What is interesting is that Tare was at the Coppa Italia final on Wednesday night, officially just as a spectator but potentially on a scouting mission. Just a few days prior, the former Lazio director admitted to being flattered by the links with Milan too, stating that it would be an honour.
