MN: Milan midfielder Biglia to face extended period out with thigh injury

AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli will be without midfielder Lucas Biglia for Monday’s game against Sampdoria due to a thigh injury.

Biglia was not expected to feature in the starting XI for the game, with Ismael Bennacer now preferred in the regista role.

According to MilanNews.it, Pioli will have to do without Biglia for a few week as the Argentine has suffered an injury to his left thigh. His condition will be assessed next week to understand the extent of the injury and recovery times.

The only other injury news for Pioli to contend with is that of Leo Duarte: the centre-back is expected to be out for a couple more months after having surgery on an achilles tendon tear.

Meanwhile, Sky Italia believe that the Rossoneri boss has made it clear two places are up for grabs, with battles between Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Krzysztof Piatek for the striker position plus Lucas Paqueta and Franck Kessie for the right mezzala role.
