MN: Milan to more than double value of PUMA deal to above €30m/yr – the details

AC Milan are set to reap the rewards of their on-field success as they are set to sign a lucrative contract extension with PUMA, a report claims.

According to what is being reported by MilanNews, Milan will put pen to paper on a new agreement with PUMA that will be worth over €30m per year compared to the €14m per year that the Rossoneri currently receive, so they have more than doubled that particular revenue stream.

The commercial resurgence of the club continues and there have been 27 new sponsorships or partnerships since August 2020. The Covid period and the aftermath of it has seen clubs retreat from a commercial and brand point of view, while Milan have signed deals such as BitMEX as Sleeve Sponsor, wefox as Back-of-Jersey Sponsor and KONAMI as Official Training Wear Partner.

They also cite the FootballIndex study published by the authoritative international market analysis and research group YouGov, which stated that Milan are fastest growing club in the world by brand value, having seen 76% growth last season. The current value of the Milan brand is estimated at €269m thanks to better sporting results and the increase in revenues and profitability. The estimated business value is €578m.
