AC Milan are keen on signing Japhet Tanganga from Spurs and they have reason to believe he could be an excellent fit, a report claims.

According to a report from Calciomercato.com, Milan have a meeting planned on Thursday with Fabio Paratici – Tottenham’s sporting director – to talk about Tanganga. The aim of the Rossoneri is to secure an initial loan with an option to buy and there could even be a buy-back clause inserted in Spurs’ favour.
There is a desire to close the deal quickly for a profile that fits perfectly with Stefano Pioli’s ideas. In fact, it must be recalled that Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara already asked for information in January and now the situation has changed because Tanganga can leave.
Once José Mourinho left Tottenham – the manager who was the first to believe in him and launch him into the first team – things changed and the 23-year-old went off the radar. He suffered an injury, then the lack of confidence of Nuno Espirito Santo and Antonio Conte, and then another injury in the second half of last season.

“He is a pure, aggressive defender who likes physical confrontation. Modern defenders rarely like to defend. He likes to be in the box making tackles, he’s an old-fashioned profile,” he said.
Tanganga himself confirmed this in an interview with TalkSport : “Aggression has always been part of me, ever since I was a kid. My coaches have always told me to exploit this quality.”
A defender who is young, has potential, is aggressive and seems to be well up for a battle – a perfect profile for Serie A in the eyes of Milan.
