There is a full re-vamp of the Milan midfield likely this summer, and some moves rely on others leaving. For example, the Musah funds would be used to bring Javi Guerra in, who is a top target to replace Tijjani Reijnders.
The American, seemingly, is not in the plans of Massimiliano Allegri, but those of Antonio Conte, who has been tracking him for a year now. However, his attempts to bring him to Naples are looking likely to go stale again.
Stalemate for Musah
Last year, it was the Rossoneri who stopped proceedings, wanting to gamble on the midfielder. Now, it could be them again, seeking more money in the deal, despite profit being on the table. So, work must be done.
Milan News write that Giorgio Furlani and Paolo Busardo met at Casa Milan, and there were no steps forward; the reasons being that the bonuses need to be agreed upon and Zambo-Anguissa’s role, which is ‘blocking an insertion into the midfield’.
Sky also confirm this, stating that there is no agreement just yet, with negotiations ‘blocked’. Again, Anguissa’s position is an issue, as he may not be sold as was imagined. Should that not happen, Musah would not be required.
