AC Milan have been left very confused by the total drop in Fikayo Tomori’s form which has had a serious effect on the team, a report suggests.
As has been pointed out by Milan News, there is no blatant reason as to why Tomori is unable to put in a good performance right now.
There are a number of possibilities, one of which is the adaptation to a new role in a back three. He has played in a back three before in his career though and he produced good performances when the change was first made.
Another potential explanation is that he is struggling with the pressure of a poor campaign and the fight for the top four. He is a very emotionally led player and he may need the international break to reset his mind.
He is certainly not the only Milan player who is operating well beneath their usual level right now.
