AC Milan have been alerted to Leonardo Spinazzola’s situation with Napoli and could offer him a contract, a report claims.

Milan have become known as a club that seizes opportunities to strengthen the squad on low-cost deals where possible. The list of upcoming free agents is an intriguing one, and we picked out Spinazzola as one of five names the directors should look at in a feature earlier this week.
Spinazzola stand-off
Radio Kiss Kiss (via CalcioNapoli) have now reported the latest on Spinazzola’s possible contract renewal with Napoli, given that his deal is currently set to expire at the end of the season. They state that the reigning champions will offer him a one-year deal, with a pay cut.
Milan are interested in signing him as a free agent, and while Spinazzola wants to stay at Napoli, the club are unmoved from their current position. The player’s agent has set a March 31st deadline, meaning the winger will be looking around starting April 1st.
Milan are ready to offer him a two-year contract, while Napoli has only offered a one-year deal with an option for a second, but at a lower price than his current salary of €1.8m net per season as per the source.
Juventus are also ready to offer him a two-year contract at a higher salary than he currently earns. The player is still unsure what to do, precisely because he’s so happy in Naples and if it were up to him, he wouldn’t change clubs.
The 33-year-old would bring some welcome experience and versatility given he can play on either flank as a wing-back. He has won six trophies in his career, while with Napoli he has four goals and six assists in 66 appearances, following spell with Atalanta and more notably Roma.
