Official: Milan announce new head coach of Women’s Primavera side

On Monday evening, AC Milan announced the sacking of women’s coach Maurizio Ganz as a result of the poor start to the season. Davide Corti was also promoted from the Primavera, and his replacement has now been revealed.

Corti is managing his first game for the Women’s first team this afternoon, currently taking on Inter in the derby. As for the Primavera side, they are currently taking on Hellas Verona away from home and Corti’s replacement has now been announced by the club.

As confirmed on X, Matteo Zago is the new manager of the Women’s Primavera side. He was already part of the staff under Corti and the transition should thus be rather easy for the players, as well as the manager himself. It remains to be seen how his first game will end.

The Women’s first team certainly need to turn things around after an incredibly slow start to the season. Prior to today’s clash, they had claimed just nine points in eight points, which is far too poor given that the league leaders Roma have 24.
