Official: Pioli names 24-man squad for Benevento game – Mandzukic out; Calabria and Kjaer in

AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli has named his 24-man squad for tonight’s game against Benevento, with a surprise exclusion.

The Rossoneri suffered damaging defeats against Sassuolo and Lazio in their last two outings, with the most recent being a 3-0 hiding at the Stadio Olimpico on Monday night which saw the team drop to fifth, so a response is absolutely imperative.

The main headline from the squad is that Mario Mandzukic – who started the game against Lazio – will miss out due to bronchitis, as per Antonio Vitiello of MilanNews. Calabria and Kjaer were battling flu but are fit enough to play a part.

Below are the 24 players that Pioli has summoned for the game, as confirmed by the official website

Goalkeepers: A. Donnarumma, G. Donnarumma, Tătărușanu.

Defenders: Calabria, Dalot, Gabbia, Hernández, Kalulu, Kjær, Romagnoli, Tomori.

Midfielders: Bennacer, Çalhanoğlu, Castillejo, Díaz, Hauge, Kessie, Krunić, Meïte, Saelemaekers, Tonali.

Forwards: Ibrahimović, Leão, Rebić.
