It had already been a positive day for Milan’s sides, given that the AC Milan Women beat Juventus 1-0 away from home to keep their Champions League hopes alive, while the Primavera ended their difficult run with a point at home against Bologna.
After a goalless first half, Massimo Oddo’s team secured a crucial victory thanks to a second-half goal from Jacopo Sardo in the 76th minute. The January signing from Monza was in the right place at the right time to convert what would be the only goal in a match lacking in real quality.
Oddo’s side have not lost an away game since November 23rd and, in their last six away games, they have collected 14 points and scored 15 goals, numbers that clearly demonstrate the team’s growth both in terms of maturity and the quality of their playing style.
Thanks to this result, the Diavolo also made it four in a row unbeaten, consolidating their position at the top end of the table. The win also saw the Futuro jump into second, given that Chievo, USD Casatese and Villa Valle all dropped points.
