Pellegatti claims Milan are keen on emerging Leeds United star: “Moncada followed him”

AC Milan’s scouting department are big admirers of Leeds United winger Luis Sinisterra and could pursue a move, according to Carlo Pellegatti.

Sinisterra only moved to Leeds from Feyenoord in the summer but the 23-year-old is already gaining some attention for his performances with the Yorkshire side after suffering some initial injury problems following his arrival from the Netherlands.

The Colombia international has scored three times and has added one assist from a wide role under Jesse Marsch in six appearances across all competitions, and it seems that his exploits are being closely followed by Milan.

The well-known Milan journalist Carlo Pellegatti spoke on his YouTube channel and provided a glowing endorsement for Sinisterra, who chief scout Geoffrey Moncada knows and likes.

“My big dream is only one, Luis Sinisterra. At Feyenoord he played on the left, but at Colombia and Leeds he starts from the right,” he said (via TEAMtalk).

“He reminds me to death of Leao, even if he is less overbearing and devastating in the race. But he has great class and confidence, he reminds me of Rafa [Leao].

“Having one on the right and the other on the left, with De Ketelaere as an attacking midfielder, would drive me crazy. Moncada followed him, Milan likes him. He has a market value of 25-35 million, therefore in the range of the club.”

However, Sinisterra signed a five-year contract at Leeds and therefore it is likely that they would command a sizeable fee in order to part with him.
