Pellegatti dampens Ziyech optimism and suggests Renato Sanches loan idea

Journalist Carlo Pellegatti believes there is not a big chance of AC Milan landing Hakim Ziyech at the moment but he has suggested a potential solution for the playmaker role.

While Serie A is on a break and the World Cup is in full flow, there has been an abundance of stories related to the top performers at the tournament so far and how they might help Milan, with Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara always attentive to young talent and favourable opportunities.

In truth the name of Ziyech is one that has never gone away with the Rossoneri having been linked for the last few transfer windows, and he impressed for Morocco in their 2-0 win over Belgium, providing an assist.

Carlo Pellegatti spoke on his YouTube channel (via MilanLive) and spoke about Ziyech: “It felt like the transfer market seeing that pass from Ziyech in the victory against Belgium, from Morocco. They tell me that there are very few possibilities but one always hopes that they can change their ideas but I have no illusions.”

He followed it up with something quite surprising: “I had a crazy idea but it came to me not to the managers of Milan. Why not take advantage of a situation that shouldn’t make the player happy, why not ask PSG for a loan from Renato Sanches ?

“He is the ideal player, perfect as Milan’s number ten according to Stefano Pioli’s tactical ideas and philosophy. I cheered a lot for him, which would allow a more gradual growth of De Ketelaere, without pressure. Let me think aloud… Renato Sanches, what purchase would that be?”

Milan were heavily linked with a move for Renato Sanches during the summer mercato but in the end he chose to join PSG where he reunited with former Lille coach Christophe Galtier, but things have not gone to plan for him so far due to injury issues and pre-established hierarchies.
