CM: Pioli wants a new centre-back fast with Spurs and Eintracht Frankfurt duo eyed

AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli is still waiting for some of the key reinforcements needed for his squad, including a new centre-back.

Calciomercato.com report that the Rossoneri management are currently carrying out negotiations on two fronts, including the pursuit of a new midfielder – with Renato Sanches and Carney Chukwuemeka as targets – plus Charles De Ketelaere for the attack.

A new centre-back must arrive to complete the department, and Japhet Tanganga is top of the list for Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara. Milan met with Spurs’ sporting director Fabio Paratici, but there is not yet an agreement on the figures of a loan with option to buy deal plus a buy-back in the favour of the London club.

Now, Evan N’Dicka is also being considered as an objective having already been followed in the past by Milan. Eintracht Frankfurt confirmed that they had received the interest of Milan through their sporting director, although they have not yet received a formal bid.

The contract of the Frenchman expires in 2023 and there is no chance of a renewal, but the request of the German club is around €20m which is considered too high. First the resolution of the De Ketelaere deal must come, then Maldini and Massara will return to work on the defender knowing their budget better.
