PM: Milan in talks over €30m Napoli outcast linked with Man Utd – Calabria swap possible

AC Milan have reignited their interest in signing Napoli winger Hirving Lozano ahead of next season, according to a report.

The Rossoneri were credited with interest in the Mexico international when he was a star at PSV Eindhoven but eventually missed out as he headed to Naples, but now PianetaMilan believe the idea could resurface.

The outlet claims that with the renewal of Dries Mertens confirmed, Lozano will be included in the list of players that head coach Gennaro Gattuso deems sellable.

There have also been plenty of rumours stating Lozano has fallen out with Gattuso and as per ESPN he was recently kicked out of training for a lack of effort, while Manchester United have been linked with a move in recent weeks by various sources.

Lozano arrived last summer for €38million and has played 40 games so far, but has not been a consistent starter for the Partenopei.

Ralf Rangnick – the Rossoneri’s future manager – has been observing the 24-year-old for some time and wanted him at RB Leipzig. The German considers him a very quick and technical winger, and PianetaMilan believe he is available for €30m.

The two clubs have been talking about the deal for a few weeks, and Milan could try and lower the cash portion of the deal a bit by inserting a technical counterpart like Davide Calabria.
